The First Capitol News is in the process of upgrading our web presence. During this process we will continue to bring you the news of St. Charles. Throughout the past 12 years our newspaper has played a major role in providing citizens with news on issues that would have otherwise flown undetected beneath the radar. Our goal is to continue this service and we want your help. We are looking for citizen journalists interested in providing news on nuts-and-bolts issues that concern our community. While the staff of the FCN has dedicated countless hours to this end and will continue to do so, we feel that our readers may provide excellent coverage on matters concerning the greater community. A few areas where we would like to find regular contributors include:
-School Board Meetings
-Activities of Local Boards and Committees
-County Government Meetings
-State Legislation affecting our town
-Personal Interest Stories
